There is something to be desired about freezing our most profound moments in time, only to look back upon them years later with the same resonance and meaning.I was born and raised in Brandon Manitoba, but I've always had this unstoppable urge to roam. This wanderlust of sorts has allowed me to discover and travel distant lands, while also gaining an appreciation for what's just beyond our doorstep here in Manitoba and the many places worth exploring within our beautiful country of Canada. My love for photography developed at a young age, under a big sky.I grew up on a farm near Souris, Manitoba, where I spent hours watching sunsets over gently rolling fields in the summertime. Big skies, beautiful colors, and the calm of the prairies in a wonderful rural community were all fuel for a rich career in photography and visual arts. My first camera was a Hanimex 110 film camera, which produced marginal, grainy results. I took thousands of pictures on that little camera until I got.....

Have you seen a scene, a landscape, cityscape or just amazing colours and thought, “wouldn’t that make a great picture”? I look at life in this manner. I visualize how scenes would look as a picture on a wall.The challenge for me is that what I see doesn’t necessarily turn out when I photograph that scene. There are many instances where I say, “That wasn’t what I saw”. I do enjoy the challenge though and see photography, like golf, as never to be conquered; but spending a lifetime.....
